Sideshow Collectibles BATMAN: MODERN AGE Premium Format Pics and Details!

"HOLY HYGIENE BATMAN! I KNOW THAT THIS IS SICK BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO VOMIT!"

Sideshow Collectibles cease to displease us once again after showing pictures of their new take on an old collectible.

Sideshow do a line of "Premium Formats", which are essentially 1:4 Scale statues in exquisite detail. They did a DC Comics line of Premium formats and did Many, such as The Joker, Sinestro, and Batman to name a few. When they released the Batman Premium format, they got a lot of hate. Mainly because the suit cloth would sag underneath the armpits and Batman's Skin tone was too dark. People weren't pleased with their moneys worth and probably has had the most hate on one of their products, ever.

But, do not fret as this new "Modern Age" Batman looks like A Million Dollars.

The face of Justice.

To start off with, his skin tone Isn't "Too Dark" and the overall face sculpt looks better. His cowl is going with the long ear tradition, and if anything this is reminiscent of  "The Long Halloween" batman outfit. His muscles look finely toned and the crest looks in place. I Know this is a prototype but the Utility belt should look like it could be more... Utilised. It looks like it doesn't have pouches and un-storable for anything.  The base mold is the same and looks like it's got a lighter paint job to it.

This baby rocks in at 25", and weighs in at 13.61kg. Holy statue weight Batman!

Usually they say the heavier the better, but I think that DETOLF Glass Shelves won't handle it. It seems way too heavy and if you so wish to display it, the wooden bottom shelf would do.

Prepare to sell you kidneys, Children or house for this statue. The Modern age Premium Format comes in at $429, which is more than the average premium format ($400). Sideshow's prices are increasing, and I have high hopes that their quality will too.

Overall, am I happy about it? Yes. Would I buy it? Once people have bought it and see what a consumer grade product is like.

Be sure to buy from Sideshow Collectibles at sideshowtoy.com. You won't regret it!

STAR WARS Play Arts Kai Figures Revealed! STORMTROOPER First Impressions!

Before we begin, I just want to explain that yesterday I didn't post anything because It was Easter and I needed a break from everything. None-of-the-less, I promised that I'd give my first impressions of the Play Arts Kai Stormtrooper That's been announced and is available for pre order. So without further or do, let's get right into it!

Play Arts Kai Stormtrooper (Est. To arrive at stores July 2015)

Stormtrooper's Accessories

Before we get into anything, let's take a look at his accessories real quick. He comes with Two blasters/rifles, four extra hands and laser flash (which you put at the end of the gun). If you think about the Stormtrooper as a whole, they are supposed to be Vader's "Minions" and for Me I'd like to see maybe some grenades, battle damaged weapons and more. He still looks like a lot of fun to accessorise with and It goes without saying that this will be a #1 Seller.

Shots Fired.

I remember the first time I saw the Stormtroopers in action and it scared the crap out of me. I was screaming at the TV "RUN LUKE LISTEN TO THAT BEN GUY RUUUUN!". Mind you I was four so, yeah. Point is they were intimidating (to a four year old). With this new design it makes nowadays Cameron feel like I should hide behind a nuclear proof, bullet proof wall. Play Arts Kai realised that A Stormtrooper should be intimidating, and they perfected it.

"Set for Stun".

I really like the mask design above all. It reminds me of Ultron Prime's face in the new Avengers: Age of Ultron, which isn't a bad thing. It looks pretty articulated and looks like a lot of fun to pose!

You're Welcome.

This is the final image I'm going to talk about today. It's the full body shot of the Stormtrooper and It really gives another reason why to buy it. It simply looks awesome and it looks like something between a stormtrooper and Ultron. So basically awesome!

This will be the end of the Star Wars Play Arts Kai Series analysis until another awesome product is advertised!

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON RealD 3D Glasses Revealed!

I'd go as far to say that Avengers: Age of Ultron will be the highest grossing film of Spring this year. It's predecessor is the 3rd highest grossing film of all time. What better way to get excited about the movie than to get excited about the 3D Glasses that will soon be available?

Marvel's Facebook Page are giving away 5 sets of Avengers: Age of Ultron 3D Glasses, the post can be seen below:

The Post reads:
"Avengers fans of UK & Ireland - this Easter, we've got 5 sets of Avengers: Age of Ultron 3D glasses to give away courtesy of RealD UK! Just tell us who your favourite Avenger is in the comments below.

5 winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries. One entry per household. Giveaway closes midday UK time Tuesday 7/04/15. Winner's comment will be responded to in this post. Open to UK & IRE residents aged 13+ T&C's apply - http://bit.ly/1CE2ase "

For a more high quality version of the image, here it is below:
I almost fell off my seat when I saw these.
Dibs on The Vision!

From Marvel's post there is no telling if these were exclusively made for the giveaway, but from a bit of research I found a Cinema In Northern Ireland advertising that they are selling them for £3.95 ($5.99) or three glasses for £10.00 ($15.00)

If that wasn't enough, RealD 3D's Facebook account replied to a comment regarding the Glasses and if they will be on sale.

Confirming the details... They wouldn't need to "Confirm Details" if they just weren't planning on selling them. It would have been a definite NO if they weren't selling.

But what does this all mean? This Means that we will be getting Avengers: Age Of Ultron RealD 3D Glasses at Cinemas!

Personally, I'm Loving the Vision glasses as well as Iron Man's. If I got to choose any three for £10.00 I would choose Ultron, The Vision and Iron Man.

That's all from me today!

Avengers: Age Of Ultron Opens in UK Cinemas April 23rd and US Cinemas May 1st Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarley Johannson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L Jackson, Arron Taylor Johnston, Elizabeth Olsen with James Spader and Paul Bettany. This Movie's gonna Rock!

Hot Toys Reveal Sneak Peak Of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Toy Line! Breakdown of ARTISTS MIX SERIES!

Yesterday I Posted About the Recent Image Hot Toys posted on their Social Accounts and did a breakdown of sorts with the 1/6 figures. In case you forgot what the image looks like, check it out below:

Hot Toys Backstage Photo Posted to their
Social Accounts.

The ones I left out yesterday, which have been advertised just as much as the 1/6 figures, is the Artists Mix Series (The small ones closer to the camera). Today I'll only cover the ones that are facing away from the camera, as majority of the ones facing away from the camera aren't even available to pre order yet.

By Looking at the image there is:
The Hulk

The Hulk: Damn does this one look amazing! Hulk's in the "Hero" Pose looking into the void of space but he looks good doing it! If you look closely at the figure, he has a new type of pants which goes down to almost his ankles. I guess the Science Bros Developed stretchy pants so he can "HULK OUT!" Whenever he feels like it and not be naked.

Mark 45 Iron Man
Mark 45 Iron Man: They haven't announced the Mk.45 AMS figure yet, which is why I think that he is turned away like the Hulk. Personally, I would only have one Iron Man but hey, the more the merrier! He's in the same pose as the MK.43 And for me, The Mk.45 Suit looks way better than the Mark 43 one! The metallic paint is done really well and he's in scale with the rest of the other figures which is good, and hopefully he'll look great once pictures surface online.

The Vision
The Vision: This is probably the best look at the Vision's cape yet, and it is seriously fantastic. I love the vision, as a character so you can imagine what it'll be like when I see him on screen for the first time in the cinema. If I had to choose between which Artists Mix Series, it would be the vision because I love the character, and he also looks like he's had the most realism put into him. Hopefully there will be official images released soon of this Figure. He looks like he's going to be a strong vision, based on his structure and hopefully he'll live up to the hype in Age Of Ultron.

Thor

Thor: As soon as you look at this image Thor's hair looks like it's real. is it just me? If Hot Toys opt in to use real hair that would be freakishly cool. Thor is in the same pose practically everyone is in but I'm glad they haven't left out Mjolnir because what would Thor be without his trusty hammer? If i was to nitpick about one thing it would be th cape. I think Thor's cape should be more free-flowing. Maybe it is a pose able cape?
Maybe....

Unmasked Iron Man
Mark 43
Unmasked Mark 43 Iron Man: I can't Imagine how they'll baby-up Robert Downey Jr.'s face! Hopefully they make it super cute as well as super detailed. The Mark 43 figure has already got official pictures and even up for pre order, maybe This one is soon to follow? If I had to pick three figures, it would be Hulk, Vision and this one!

So this has been the breakdown of the Artists Mix Series figures that haven't been up for pre order yet or on The Hot Toys website.

Tomorrow or the day after expect a Master Replica .45 Scale Darth Tyranus Lightsaber Review!

STAR WARS Play Arts Kai Figures Revealed! BOBA FETT First Impressions!

"He's no good to me dead." - Boba Fett

Yesterday I gave my first impressions about the infamous Darth Vader play arts Kai Figure from Square Enix. They have released two other figures, Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper. I promised that i'll give my opinion on this beauty yesterday, so let's get into it.

Boba Fett Play Arts Kai Figure (Est. To arrive July 2015)

Boba Fett and his accessories.

I made a comment on Vader's accessories and how there was so many of them and how much care Square Enix has put into them. In term of accessories wise, this blows Darth Vader's accesssories out the water. Bobba  has four extra hands, two knives, two blast thingeys to attatch to him, a rifle and a flamethrower. For me, thats everything I want in a Boba Fett figure. Dangerous weapons with style.

Boba using his flamethrower.

This image shows off how articulate the figure is, and the extra flame thrower accessory. To show off the flamethorwer accessory, they coldn't have done it better. It looks amazing on Fett and If I were to get this figure that would be the position I would have him in. Square Enix have done him justice in terms of the accessories, and I can't ask for anything more from them by the looks of things!

Boba Fett just being awesome.

The build quality of the figure looks very good. It looks like he needs no additional support and can do practically any pose that you want! This image specifically shows the level of detail that's been put into the figure. The quality of the painting really shows off the talented people at Square Enix. From the metallic green armour to the Brown pouches, you can tell that this is a figure that hasn't been rushed. Paint is always an important part of any collectible, and this doesn't fall short of paint quality. Be sure to get It as soon as you can as this year is an extra special year for Star Wars, isn't it?

Boba Fett Play Arts Kai Figure from behind.

Boba Fett is well known for his Jetpack, and more importantly his helmet. When I look for collectibles I would look for something compelltely different from the actual character which is one of the few reasons why I love Square Enix's Play Arts Kai figures. This figure still resembles Boba Fett and looks great because of the amazing minds going into the figure.

From the accessories and the examples of articulation, to the paint quality to the level of detail, this is a figure that every star wars fan should have.

Tomorrow I'll end this analysis of figures with the amazingly creative Stormtrooper figure. Coming today is the Hot Toys Avengers Age Of Ultron picture about yesterday, but giving an analysis of the Artists Mix Series.

See you later on today!

STAR WARS Play Arts Kai Figures Revealed! DARTH VADER First Impressions!

A few days ago in a galaxy not that far away.....

Square Enix have continued their Play Arts Kai figures this time introducing Darth Vader, Bob Fett and a Stormtrooper to their ever growing family of highly detailed figures.

NOW FOR PRE ORDER!

Firstly If you guys don't know what Play Arts Kai Figures are, let me explain. Play Arts Kai figures are based around Pop Culture and Gaming's most well Known Icons, and are Sometimes sculpted in a very abstract style, but none-of-the-less still look Amazing! They cost around $100-124 (Or £60-100) and sometimes made on a limited run.

**PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE IMAGES ON THIS POST AND I DO NOT CLAIM COPY WRIGHT ON ANY IMAGE IN THIS ARTICLE**

I really want to express my views and opinions on these and whether I would buy them or not. Firstly, there is the one everyone is raving about the Most. Darth Vader!

Darth Vader (Expected to Arrive May 2015)

Vader and all of his accessories.
That's a lot of accessories.

Darth Vader comes with a lot of accessories, that's no lie. He comes with six hands (one being a one engulfed in a fireball), a lightsaber, and  a blurred-sweeping action lightsaber. For me I think that those are great accessories and you'll have great fun posing him. It would be even cooler if he came with an unmasked head sculpt but that's not even a must have.

Stop! Wait A Minute.

Can I comment about the cape? For a sculpture it looks bloody amazing and, for me, shows off the abstract minds that worked on this piece. The way it curves in on itself and is jaggered and ripped gives me the impression that Vader is not the kind of guy to mess with.

"And here we have a Darth Vader in his
Natural Habitat, trying, and IS,
Looking awesome"

This picture is really showing off that extra lightsaber we get with this figure. I know that the purpose of this image is to show off the extra lightsaber but I get the feeling he should be in a more dynamic pose. Anyways, forget that tiny nitpick. For me the lightsaber is one of the best accessories and I can see many other fans online making some Beast poses with the given accessories, meaning no custom accessories! Thanks Square Enix!

Standard Pose for this figure.

The final picture I'm showing today shows off a lot of his armor and the general overall build. The armor has been the best thing about the figure and makes it totally different from Kotobukiya's ArtFX Vader. The armor has generally more shape complexity. It almost seems as if this wasn't Vader at all! But it is, and you guys know it is, right? I would buy this figure not because of the accessories, or the branding, or whatever rest. I would buy this because of all the creative minds that have went into making this exquisite piece of art!

Tomorrow expect to see an analysis and first impressions of BOBA FETT and possibly the STORMTROOPER!

Thanks guys for reading, and be sure to come back for more!
